ORW is a family business. Originally created as a way to brand a new idea in the bag toss game (corn hole) industry, Surf Toss was created.

As a full-time beach resident on Hilton Head Island, and a lover of surfing and surf culture. Surf Toss was born out of the idea that taking large regulation corn hole boards to and from the beach as very cumbersome. The weight of the boards and awkwardness of carrying them made it more than difficult to casually bring them down to the beach and enjoy not to mention how unsightly they are to store in the yard. It seems the life cycle of plywood is only a few years before the wood starts to delaminate and split.

The Surf Toss boards originated by utilizing old unused discarded boards. Many of which were too small to surf on the smaller waves that dominate the surf conditions here in Hilton Head and other east coast beach towns.

Given new purpose and style to easily carry to the beach and play with once again.

Hester produces fresh, organic produce from local farmers in New York. Even our spices are fresh. Just because pickling is a preservation process doesn’t mean you can use dried-up thyme or week-old asparagus that’s already a little spongy.

We want to give our customers crisp, crunchy and delicious pickled vegetables and fruits. Most of all, we want to expand people’s palates and prove that pickles don’t always come in a green or red variety.
